Recently, Singapore’s Lianhe Zaobao published a report noting that local construction companies have achieved substantial improvements in construction productivity after adopting ORCAS ROBOT floor grinding robots.
The report by Lianhe Zaobao focuses on the successful application of the ORCAS Hero 900 floor grinding robot in Singapore. Through on-site interviews with the person in charge of a local flooring engineering company, it clearly demonstrates the transformative changes this intelligent equipment has brought to the local construction industry.
In an exclusive interview with Lianhe Zaobao, the company’s person in charge stated that the ORCAS Hero 900 floor grinding robot has resolved the pain points of traditional floor construction, and also shared detailed practical results achieved after deploying the equipment.
“In the past, manual grinding made it difficult to ensure consistent quality. Sometimes the grinding was too heavy, other times insufficient, and worker fatigue also affected results. But robots do not get tired; they can operate continuously once the working area is set, delivering more stable construction quality and higher productivity.”
According to Lianhe Zaobao, the flooring company has achieved remarkable improvements in construction productivity since adopting the ORCAS Hero 900 floor grinding robot last year.
The machine now operates independently with just one operator, replacing the previous three-person team, while covering a larger area and working at a faster speed.
The person in charge further provided quantified data: “In terms of manpower, our current ratio is three to one. In terms of coverage per man-hour, traditional manual work can complete about 50 square meters per hour, while the robot can cover more than 80 square meters per hour — boosting efficiency and productivity by approximately 70% to 80%.”
