On June 14th, a delegation of leaders from the South China Company and the Dongguan-Huizhou Branch of China Construction First Group visited Foshan Orcas Robot Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Orcas") to conduct on-site research and investigation. Conduct in-depth research on the practical application of construction robots in construction scenarios, with a focus on hands-on learning of robots, striving to explore practical and feasible implementation solutions for the intelligent transformation of the traditional construction industry.

At the beginning of the inspection, the Orcas Robot team comprehensively presented the research and development achievements and practical cases of Orcas in the field of intelligent building to the leaders of China Construction First Group South China Company and Dongguan-Huizhou Branch. In the current context where the intelligent transformation of the construction industry is accelerating, robot technology, as the core support for digital transformation, is gradually changing the traditional construction mode.
 


The innovative application of the intelligent equipment developed by Orcas in terms of adaptability to complex working conditions and standardization of construction processes can effectively solve the problems of low efficiency and difficult quality control in traditional construction, providing new ideas for the transformation and upgrading of the industry.

Subsequently, under the professional guidance of Orcas technicians, the leaders of China Construction First Group South China Company and Dongguan-Huizhou Branch experienced the intelligent charm of the two fully automatic floor grinding robots, Pioneer 860 and Hero 900, in an immersive way. On the spot, technicians from Orcas provided on-site teaching through a visual operation interface. The leaders personally got hands-on practice. From starting the 3D lidar to complete the modeling of the construction area, to setting the parameters for AI path planning, and finally starting the robot for automatic grinding, the entire operation process was fully mastered in just half an hour.


 

◆  Pioneer 860 Floor grinding robot

Pioneer 860, with its globally pioneering stepless adjustment technology for grinding pressure, has become a technical benchmark in the field of floor grinding. The grinding pressure can be adjusted according to different ground surfaces and materials, ensuring construction accuracy while significantly improving the quality of floor surface treatment. The automatic obstacle stop function of the robot can automatically identify obstacles at the construction site, effectively avoid collision risks, and comprehensively ensure construction safety and operation continuity.

It is worth mentioning that the core capabilities of the Pioneer 860 floor grinding robot have been verified in practice: According to real customer feedback, when using the Pioneer 860 to treat concrete slurry floors, the daily construction area can reach nearly 4,000 square meters. The intelligent automatic dust collection system it is equipped with can capture most of the dust particles in the grinding instant. Combined with the fully enclosed dust cover design, it truly achieves a dust-free construction process throughout, not only safeguarding the health of the workers but also preventing dust from polluting the surrounding environment. Meanwhile, the automatic lifting function of the grinding disc of the Hero 900 supports one-click operation, making the grinding disc replacement process much simpler.
