On June 13th, a group of leaders from the Foshan Branch of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau South China Company, including the technology director, supply chain center, business center, and the chief engineer of its benchmark project (Chancheng Sam Project), visited Foshan Orcas Robot Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Orcas") to have an in-depth technical exchange on the two floor grinding robots, Pioneer 860 and Hero 900, independently developed by Orcas. Focus on the intelligent transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and explore new paths for the development of intelligent construction.

This exchange is not only a technical dialogue among enterprises, but also an exploration to actively respond to the national call for vigorously promoting intelligent construction and driving the high-quality development of the construction industry.

 


▶  New opportunities for the development of the intelligent construction industry

In recent years, the state has successively introduced a number of policies to promote the development of intelligent construction, explicitly stating that it will take scientific and technological innovation as the driving force to accelerate the digital and intelligent transformation of the construction industry. During the communication, the staff of Orcas shared in detail the research and development achievements and practical experience of Orcas with the leaders of the Foshan Branch of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau South China Company. Both of these two robots are equipped with industry-leading 3D navigation systems, capable of completing 3D modeling of the construction area, accurately identifying obstacles, automatically planning the optimal grinding path, and featuring multiple pioneering technologies. After starting the operation, the robot, with its built-in intelligent control system, can achieve full-process automated grinding without the need for real-time manual operation. This effectively addresses the industry pain points of high labor costs and low operation efficiency in construction.
 


▶  Pioneer 860 is the first to introduce stepless adjustment of grinding and pressure

Pioneer 860, with its globally pioneering stepless grinding and pressing adjustment technology, has become a benchmark for technological innovation in the industry. This technology can flexibly adjust the grinding and pressing intensity according to different ground materials and construction requirements to ensure construction quality. In terms of structural design, the Pioneer 860 is the smallest robot under the same grinding width, with a compact and exquisite body and flexible turning. It is also equipped with a high-energy-density lithium battery. When fully charged, it can travel 6.5 kilometers, which is convenient for transfer and transportation.
 


▶  Hero 900 is the intelligent construction leader

The automatic dust collection system of Hero 900 is in real-time linkage with the grinding process. The powerful negative pressure device quickly adsorbs most of the dust, significantly reducing the dust at the construction site. Equipped with an automatic grinding disc lifting system, it greatly facilitates the replacement of grinding discs. With just one click of the operator's control, the grinding disc can automatically rise, easily completing disassembly and installation, and significantly improving the efficiency of construction preparation.

 

 

▶  Focus on intelligent construction and jointly plan the development of the industry

During the inspection and exchange, the leaders of the Foshan Branch of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau South China Company highly praised the R&D technology of Orcas.
