On April 28th, the Hero 900 floor grinding robot independently developed and designed by Orcas Robot was awarded funding recognition by the Hong Kong Construction Industry Innovation and Technology Fund (CITF)! This honor is an authoritative certification of Orcas' innovative technologies, and it is also an acknowledgement of Orcas' efforts in promoting the intelligent transformation of the construction industry and fulfilling its mission of green construction.

CITF was established by the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Government in October 2018, with a total investment of 2.2 billion Hong Kong dollars. It is dedicated to promoting innovative construction technologies, aiming to enhance productivity, improve project quality, improve site safety and increase environmental benefits.

 
◆ Hero 900 Floor Grinding Robot

The Hero 900 floor grinding robot is equipped with the most advanced system and is widely used in new and renovated projects such as industrial plants, indoor parking lots, logistics parks, stadiums, and laboratories. It can achieve fully automatic ground grinding operations and fully automatic dust collection and vacuuming.



 

◆ 3D navigation automatic grinding

With high-precision positioning and path planning technology, it can quickly adapt to the complex shapes and areas of different floors, generate the optimal grinding route, and automatically perform grinding operations in complex environments, significantly improving the construction quality.

◆ Grinding disc protection

Equipped with an intelligent sensing system, it can sensitively detect sharp foreign objects such as steel bars on the ground. Combined with intelligent algorithms and high-speed braking devices, it can instantly cut off power transmission, avoiding cracking and wear caused by the collision of grinding discs with foreign objects, and thus extending the service life of the equipment.


 

◆ The grinding disc rises and falls automatically

Through intelligent one-click operation, construction workers only need to press a button, and the robot can precisely control the grinding plate to complete the lifting action, saying goodbye to the cumbersome and laborious traditional manual pring, and reducing labor costs and operational risks.
